Meet the trainers

Your dogs are part of your family, we want you to feel comfortable through every step. Let us introduce ourselves and welcome you into our family as well!

Howdy, I'm Jade.
Owner and head trainer at Bark & Bloom.

In 2015 my heeler/border collie, Mac, plopped into my lap when I was a ripe 17 years old. I had a rude awakening of how awful he was! He was a dog with a lot of feelings and didn’t know how to process anything. I got him under control in spring 2019, and he matured with me a lot as a dog owner. I worked with an awesome trainer who happened to be a Search and Rescue team in my local area at the time and then began my spiral of “I can do MORE things with my dog?”

In the Fall of 2019, a little chocolate lab trampled into my life like the raging bulldozer she is. She was my sport prospect from day one, but she also changed the way I trained immensely. Tarot taught me how to motivate a dog, how to approach different scenarios when she was uncomfortable, and how to be patient. We now actively compete in a few different sports and have found such a fluid motion together.

I am very enthusiastic about agility and have learned SO much through the sport that it has helped make me a better trainer when it comes to the pet dog world! I strive to teach dogs through free shaping, play, and engagement!

I have worked and shadowed alongside Leslie Plummer — owner of Constructive Canine — since 2021. In fall of 2024, she graciously passed down her business to me and I am honored to continue working with her clients as well as any new clients Bark and Bloom brings!

Hi! I'm Mia.
Assistant trainer at Bark & Bloom

In 2018 I got my first puppy- River, and he completely turned my life upside down. In adolescence he became under confident, reactive to dogs and humans, and was such a challenging first dog. I began working at a training and boarding facility when River was 6 months old, and I fell in love with the world of dogs. From then on I was determined to learn everything I could about dog training and behavior. For the past 6 years I have been continuing my education by attending group classes with my personal dogs, seminars from other professionals, learning from my peers, and growing in my confidence and knowledge with every person and dog that I have been so fortunate to train with. In 2020 I decided to tackle the jump from one dog to two, and I added my sweet little Labrador Retriever- Forest. She has been such a fun addition to our family, the perfect demo dog, and a great introduction into the world of dog sports! I have learned so much from owning my dogs and fostering over the years, and I don’t think I’ll ever get sick of training new puppies. I believe in relationship based training and my goal is to help owners create a deep connection and understanding with their dog.
